Winter Wine Bottles

Posted on Dec 21, 2015 9:15:30 AM

Hello everyone, it's Erin. I love the look of decorated wine bottles, and when I saw these beautiful blue colored ones, I knew I had to create something with them. The blue reminded me of the cold, and I wanted some form of a decoration in my house post- Christmas for the winter days before Valentine's Day hits, so winter-themed bottles it is!

decobottlesI will admit my wine choosing as of late has been determined by the color and shape of the bottle, but luckily, the wine in these bottles was pretty good... such a hard job! Hahaha!

Click here to see a video tutorial of how I made these beautiful bottles.

Here is a close-up of each bottle.

decobottle3aI used some of the most amazing products to create these snow lovelies. The Paper House stickers and diecuts of all the wonderful snowflakes you see on the bottles are what brought these pretty winter bottles to life.

We do not get much snow here in Texas, so this is my way of bringing it home!

Off the Page: Washington DC Frame

Posted on Aug 31, 2015 10:03:34 AM

Hello and welcome! Susie here today to share one last off the page project! I love to use my paper crafting supplies to create home decor items, and thanks to Paper House, this photo frame is one of the easiest I have ever made!

Washington DC Frame- Susie Bentz

Living in Washington DC, we take advantage of the opportunity to see the cherry blossoms that bloom every spring. I have some wonderful pictures of my children, and I hate to hide them all away in scrapbooks. For this project, I started by centering a 4x6 picture on 5x7 green cardstock and slipping it into an acrylic frame. On top of the acrylic, I outlined the picture with self-adhesive light pink pearls.

Washington DC Frame- Susie Bentz

I created a tag by diecutting an area from the Paper House Cherry Blossoms paper that looks like marble, inking through the die to add a bit more detail and texture.

Using a little dimensional tape, I added the Washington DC cardstock sticker...

...and finished it off with some coordinating pink pearl Nestabling before adhering it to the frame with dimensional adhesive.

The Washington DC 2 Cardstock Stickers have tons of great mini-images of DC landmarks! I added the US Supreme Court on the right side and Abraham Lincoln on the left, tucking a tiny cherry tree sticker just behind him.

I used the star-studded border sticker to create a frame outside the pearls on the lower half. The sticker sheet also has a tiny sprig of cherry blossoms, which I placed on top of the pearls in the bottom right corner. Perfect!

Paper House has such a huge variety of stickers! I can see using this idea to create display frames for all sorts of travel destinations… and beach vacations… and sporting events… the possibilities are endless!

Off the Page: Paris Love Tray & Bonus Project

Posted on Aug 25, 2015 9:50:56 AM

Hello everyone, Irit here. Paris, for me, is love—I love this wonderful city and the movie Casablanca, with its timeless line, "We'll always have Paris." Paris is so special to me, and it's my favorite city to vacation in, but I haven't visited for at least a decade. And if you can't visit Paris, you can at least make crafts about Paris. So this chipboard heart is my tribute to the city of love.

Paris Love Tray- Irit Shalom

Paris Love Tray- Irit Shalom

Products Used:

Paper House Spring In Paris 12'' Scrapbook Paper
Paper House Paris 3D Stickers
Paper House Paris SnapShots™ Stickers
Chipboard: Heart tray, key - Tando Creative
Paint, crackle: DecoArts
Mist: Tattered Angels
Resin flower: ETI Easy Cast Resin
Clear embossing ink: Tsukineko
Gold embossing powder, flower mold: WOW! Embossing Powders
Other: buttons, flowers, lace, tulle

Directions:

1. Cut the Paris paper to fit the back of the heart-shaped chipboard tray and glue it down. Glue one bare chipboard heart over the paper.

2. Paint the chipboard frame with red paint and add One Step Crackle on top. Glue the painted chipboard over the first bare one.

3. Heat emboss the chipboard key with clear embossing ink and gold embossing powder. Cast a rose with Easy Cast Resin and let it dry for a few hours. Mist a cluster of paper flowers with pink mist and let dry. Mist the dry resin flower with the same pink mist.

4. Glue the 3D stickers as shown inside and outside the red frame. Add the golden key and gold buttons. Mist the finished piece with a bit of the same pink mist.

5. Glue lace and tulle on the back and make the fancy bow hanger.

BONUS PROJECT!

This is a second project, a garden sign, that I made for an Off the Page post. I made my own faux wood and arranged arrows and a full pack of Cork'd™ Stickers on top. How easy and great it is! Just one pack of stickers, and the whole piece is finished and beautiful!
