Relax and Escape

Posted on Nov 28, 2015 9:01:00 AM

Hello, it's Bev, bringing you a fun beach layout using Die Cut Stickers, among other products. OMG there are so many to choose from, but I am creating this fun beach page using the Serene Beach die cut pack. What amazing fun and Die Cut Stickers are a perfect accent to any project!

relax1

I started with some fun stenciled background using modeling paste which dries so fast when working with it. I added a small piece of punchinella for a pop of shimmer in blue, adding depth with layers and texture and some great accents too.

relax2

I added some 3D sticker beach accents and also a canvas sticker beach accent. All these mixed together were a perfect match for the fun beach page.

relax3

This section showcases a fun arrow used to form a clustered "relax and escape" type treatment, using small alpha stickers along with the newest 3D puffy words.

 relax4

In this section you can see where I joined 3 different patterned papers to give me the background I was looking for. The main sheet was sand with beach grass. I fussy cut the water cresting at the shore for the bottom and then I added the worded border sticker to base the page.

It also shows pieces from the die cut sticker pack.. the starfish,  the lighthouse and a great "life's better at the beach" piece. All are amazing.

Product Used:

Paper House Beaches of the World Paper Pad

Theme Week: Nautical Pocket Pages!

Posted on Sep 30, 2015 9:00:00 AM

Hello everyone, Susie here! Do you have a last-minute trip to the shore that you need to scrapbook? Or have you been so busy enjoying your summer that you haven’t had time to even look at the pictures? You are in luck, because Paper House has a brand new collection that is packed with ocean-themed papers and embellishments! The Nautical Collection was perfect to scrap my late summer escape.

Nautical Pocket Pages- Susie Bentz

The Nautical Paper Crafting Kit includes a sheet of tags for you to cut apart—they're so popular in scrapbooking these days, especially for pocket pages! The graphics and sentiments are wonderful! I slipped some of the tags as is into pockets in both pages, and then I started to play with the other openings:

Nautical Pocket Pages- Susie Bentz

The collection comes with a 12x12 cardstock sticker sheet that includes multiple border stickers, two different styles of alphabets, and tons of diecut images! I dressed up this photograph by creating a title using both alphas. The collection also includes a set of puffy stickers in white and silver with a nice selection of words for any beachcomber!

I added one of the cardstock stickers from the collection to the lighthouse tag and scribbled on the date:

Those diecut stickers work just as well on photos! And I found the perfect place for a second puffy sticker!

I used another paper in the collection to create a 4x6 card and decorated it with a photo, diecut, labels, and the "All Hands on Deck" sticker:

Stickers are simple and quick embellishments to add to photos, and this sentiment really fits with the Nautical theme:

I chose a different style page for the second half of this layout. There are two pockets across the top that are 6x6, so I created some mini-scrapbook pages!

I fussy cut one of the papers from the collection to get the "Seas the Day" sentiment centered at the top before adding a mini-collage of photos.

A couple of the papers in the collection have this cool segmented border. I fussy cut one of the pages to create a border around this mini-page:

I loved the banner on the sticker sheet and used it as a unifying element across the top of these two pockets:

Let's Cruise!

Posted on Aug 10, 2015 10:29:23 AM

Hello, Irit here! Making summer travel layouts can be a real pleasure when you use Paper House themed papers and stickers. I held onto these photos from our latest cruise to Greece for like a year, as I was not sure how to scrap our single photos. Since we didn't know anyone on the cruise and were too shy to ask someone to take photos of us, the only pictures we have are of each other, by each other. But when you have so many great cruise papers and travel embellishments, your layouts will be so great that it doesn't matter. Let's Cruise- Irit Shalom

Directions:

1. Ink over stencil to make the circled "sky effect" with teal ink, and stencil over the top of the Teal Chevrons paper. Make glitter birds with another stencil, texture paste, and clear glitter.

2. Make the water bubbles effect with a bubble stencil over the Buena Vida paper and the very same teal ink on your second layer paper. Cut it 2/3 from the top and glue over the background.

3. Add the largest photo as shown. Cut the ship shape from patterned paper and glue it over the lower photo corner. Glue two other trimmed photos near and over the ship as shown.

4. Handwrite your journaling over a piece of patterned paper and glue it near the photos.

5. Cut the small flag from patterned paper and add the rub-on saying over it. Glue the flag on the right side of your page. Add two more rub-on arrows under the flag and over the page. Adhere a single Explore SnapShots™ sticker between two arrows.

6. Add the vertical line of ticket stickers and embellish with Cork'd™ and 3D stickers.

7. Arrange the title (made from two 3D Travel stickers, puffy title, and three sticker arrows).
