CHA 2015 Sneak Peek - ColorWays: Noir

Posted on Dec 30, 2014 3:57:49 PM

Hi there! Today is the day - the day that we're ready to show off our last and final pieces of our new ColorWays™ line - the Noir Collection. We can't wait to share all the details of what's in this gorgeous set!

Paper House 2015 Sneak Peeks - ColorWays™ Noir

Like we mentioned yesterday, the Noir Collection reminds us of the city... urban & sophisticated, with a little bit of grittiness. Noir embodies both the hustle and bustle of the day and the feel of lavish nightlife. We just love the photographs & patterns on the 12 double-sided papers included in this collection - the gorgeous macro of a white rose, the classic architecture of the Brooklyn Bridge, and the intricate ironworks of a metal gate. Papers like these are what makes our ColorWays™ collection stand out from the typical paper crafting collection.

If you've hopped on the 'gold train' this year in your projects and layouts, you'll love that the metallic accent for the Noir Collection is gold. As one of the colors of the 2 Rub Ons designs, and as a metallic accent on the Puffy Sticker and on the accent pack - the gold really stands out on these embellys! And it works great with the sentiments on all of the stickers and accents! Even the handwritten fonts on these pieces have that gritty (but classy) urban feel!Paper House 2015 Sneak Peeks - ColorWays™ NoirThe Noir Accent Pack is full of stylish cards, frames and accents that look great when used with the papers and other embellishments of the collection. 42 pieces in each pack really make these sets a great value, and just look at all the gold on those diecuts, too!Paper House 2015 Sneak Peeks - ColorWays™ Noir

The ColorWays™ papers make great wall decór hung up just as is! You can trim them into different sizes for a variety in scale, which makes any room really visually interesting. Or you could even frame the papers for a gallery-style look!

CHA 2015 Sneak Peek - ColorWays: Emerald

Posted on Dec 29, 2014 3:57:49 PM

Are you ready? Today is day #2 of our three-part, ColorWays Sneak Peek. And today, we're so excited to show you the Emerald Collection.

Paper House 2015 Sneak Peeks - ColorWays™ Emerald

As we designed these collections, it was amazing to see the personalities of the different colors unfold. Sapphire became bohemian and eclectic - having a sort of airy and mystical vibe to the patterns and designs. Emerald has a natural, organic and happy-go-lucky feel... earthy and growing and upbeat. And Noir? It reminds us of New York City... urban, sophisticated, a little gritty. Like being in noisy Manhattan during the day and then going out for classy martinis at night.

So below are the Emerald papers - 12 gorgous double-sided papers, all printed on a heavy stock with vibrant photography and really usable patterns. The borders papers and trim cards make great embellishments, too! And all of these open stock designs are being offered in a convenient paper kit, too!

Paper House 2015 Sneak Peek - ColorWays™: Emerald

We totally love the embellishments that go with the Emerald Collection. The metallic accent color for this line is Bronze, and has a richness and earthy-ness that really grounds the collection while still giving a bit of sparkle. There are 2 Rub-Ons packed full of phrases and sentiments that make it easy to use on any layout, pocket scrapbook page, or card! We even love these rub-ons for framed, home decór pieces - they look great on glass! And the Puffy Sticker adds a subtle dimension and lots of detail! Paper House 2015 Sneak Peeks - ColorWays™ Emerald And if you loved the sapphire accent pack you saw yesterday, you'll be excited to see the Emerald Accent Pack that coordinates perfectly with the Emerald Collection. Again it's a super value with 42 double-sided pieces in each set, including a nice mix of cards, frames and bits & pieces - and with bronze metallic accents to really make your projects shine!Paper House 2015 Sneak Peeks - ColorWays™ Emerald

It's just as easy to use the Emerald Collection on so many projects! We made this framed art piece by simply trimming a piece of the Emerald Bokeh paper down and framing it, then rubbing an uplifting sentiment on to the glass. If you want to have a little more flexibility, you can rub the sentiment directly down to the paper and then change them out more often!

And now for the first of a three-part Sneak Peek Series! We just can’t wait to share with you this sneak peek - we’ve developed a new line of paper crafting products that has totally made us rethink how we look at scrapbooking collections!

Introducing ColorWays™ by Paper House.

Paper House 2015 Sneak Peeks - ColorWays™

In looking to break out of the themed direction of our usual collections, we wanted to created something more universal, usable, and stunning. Inspired by the way we sort our own paper stashes, by color, and by some gorgeous, color-themed Pinterest boards we've been collecting - Colorways is an interesting and unique take on modern paper-crafting. We've combined gorgeous, saturated photography with trendy patterns to make these papers a "got-to-have" addition to any crafters' stash.

For this initial launch, we’re bringing out three gorgeous collections - Sapphire, Emerald, and Noir. I can’t wait to show you all of them! But for today, take a look at the Sapphire Collection!

Paper House 2015 Sneak Peeks - ColorWays™ Sapphire

Each collection features 12 stunning papers, all double-sided and on a heavy weight stock. Each sheet is a perfect combination of beautiful photography, paired with an artfully designed pattern on the reverse. We also just love the Edging & Trimmings border papers (they make great accents for layouts and cards) and the Trim Cards sheets, which are perfect for pocket scrapbooking!

Paper House 2015 Sneak Peeks - ColorWays™ Sapphire

Paper House 2015 Sneak Peeks - ColorWays™ Sapphire

The only thing better than these beautiful open stock papers is that we’re also offering them in a paper pack, making it easy to get all the designs in one easy purchase!

We’ve also designed some great accents and embellishments for each of the collections. The Sapphire collection has two designs of Rub-Ons - one white and one silver - which coordinate perfectly with the papers and offer a nice mix of sentiments and icons. The Puffy Sticker is also word based, making it easy to add a title or a phrase to any card or layout! All of the embellishments bring in sparkly, trendy silver accents, too!

Paper House 2015 Sneak Peeks - ColorWays™ Sapphire And finally, we’ve created these adorable little Accent Packs! The Sapphire Accent Pack includes a great mix of 4x6 cards, 3x4 cards, frames, and die-cut shapes. 42 pieces total! Each piece is double sided and has hits of that silver foil too. Think of all the projects you can use these on!Paper House 2015 Sneak Peeks - ColorWays™ Sapphire

We’ve just loved making projects with the new ColorWays collections! Because they’re all color-based instead of theme based, you’re able to do SO much with them! You can use patterns from the Sapphire ColorWays in any place you’d normally reach for a blue paper, or create stunning monochromatic projects using the entire collection! Just check out some of our projects below!

We Like it a Latte!

Posted on Nov 22, 2013 9:59:27 PM

Latte Canvas - Dana Tatar

This is a project that we like a "latte!" (yeah, we know - pretty corny, but how could we resist?!) You know those mornings when you wake up groggy, sleepy-eyed, and stumble down to the kitchen for that first cup of joe? Well, wouldn't it be nice to squint at this cute coffee-inspired canvas made by design team member Dana Tatar while you wait for it to brew? What a creative home decor piece! Dana says about this project:

"When I saw the Coffee Talk 3D Sticker Set I immediately thought of two of my favorite things, lattes from my favorite coffee chain and the Mike Myers Saturday Night Live sketches "Coffee Talk with Linda Richman." I'm a little verklempt! I created this small home decor piece for myself and I smile whenever I look at it."

Latte Canvas Close-up - Dana Tatar

The sentiment sticker makes a great statement right in the middle of the piece, and the copper glitter and foil certainly are eye-catching! We love the little details Dana added to this piece, from the brown twine tied across the center to the real coffee beans that encase the frame.

To get the "full scoop" on her project, stop by Dana's blog today! Also, you'll find step-by-step instructions on how to make your very own! Thanks for stopping by!

All Things Bright & Beautiful

Posted on Nov 19, 2013 4:50:40 PM

Bright & Beautiful Tray

Hi! This afternoon we'd like to continue "inspiring" you with another project by Christine Meyer, created using our Inspirational line "Rejoice." Christine made this lovely printer's tray that features the hymn "All Things Bright and Beautiful." When designing this collection, we decided to combine the words of that song with images of adorable and innocent woodland animals, since it continues "...all creatures great and small."

Christine tells us that when she saw this collection, she knew she wanted to create something special with it! She decided to create a printer's tray because all the opening allowed her to use the entire set of words, along with a lot of the other corresponding stickers. While she says she's never made a printer's tray before, we think this one came out beautifully!

Bright Beautiful Tray - Close Up 1 We love the details Christine added by including doilies and punched circles within some of the openings. She also added some coordinating rhinestones for a bit of bling - and who doesnt love bling?!

Bright & Beautiful Tray - Close Up 2Christine said her kids especially loved this project, because they could point to each animal and identify them! To see the full post from Christine, pop on over to her blog and leave her some love!

The Lord Your God Card -Christine Meyer

Posted on Nov 15, 2013 8:53:10 AM

Hi Everyone!

We wanted to share this inspirational card by Christine Meyer today, simple, beautiful and moving.

All you need to make this charming card is some cardstock, scissors, foam adhesive, our Cross (P-0668) paper, and our Strong & Courageous (STDM-0137) Sticker both from our Live by Faith collection, some ribbon and a few small enamel dots as simple embellishments.

The Lord Your God Card - Christine Meyer

Christine's instructions are below.

The Lord Your God Card:

-With the praying hands as your guide cut out a 4 X 6 inch portion of the patterned paper.

-Then cut that into one inch squares to create a mosaic.

-Ink the edges of each square and then attach them to ivory cardstock.

-Cut out cross.

-Add sticker sentiment with the cross ending underneath the sticker and part of the cross offset so it hangs off the card.

-Pop up the top part of the cross with foam adhesive.

-Add a ribbon bow and some small enamel dot pieces to embellish around the sticker.

Thanks for stopping by!
