Blue Christmas

Posted on Dec 21, 2015 4:58:50 PM

Francesca here, bringing you a creative gift-wrapping project. I like to think about Christmas in unusual colors. Yes, we all think about classic red and green, but blue brings me to icy and fine worlds, and I like to present gifts with these shades. I used a paper from the Sapphire ColorWays Collection on my gift for a beautiful friend.

I made the box with a Gift Box Punch Board and decorated the top with a sentiment and snowflakes.

Finally, I added the vellum leaves and small hearts.

On the front of the box, I used the beautiful Merry and Bright Sculpted™ Stickers. I love them because they have a very sophisticated and elegant font that perfectly completed my packaging!

Make Your Own Envelope!

Posted on Dec 7, 2015 9:43:49 AM

Hello everyone, Francesca here!

Today I want to show you one of my favorite envelopes... the policy envelope!

Envelopes- Francesca Biancon

I love to use this size; it’s lovely and original. If you want to make one, you can follow the attached layout. Just print it like this without changes, or you can reduce or enlarge, as you prefer.

Envelopes- Francesca Biancon

In this particular case, you need only 8x8 paper! I used the beautiful green papers of the Emerald ColorWays Collection; I love how bright the colors are.

For the first one, I simply added the puffy stickers.

For the second one, I glued paper flowers and added a SnapShots™ sticker.

The card inside of both is very simple: a SnapShots™ sticker and ink splatters. I love this effect!

Clever Christmas Wrapping

Posted on Nov 24, 2015 8:48:45 AM

Good morning everyone, Francesca here! Christmas is coming so fast ... what I love to do is wrap gifts and find new alternatives to present them!

After all, the packaging is the anticipation of the gift, a surprise to be enjoyed while you remove the paper with curiosity! Today I used a glass jar to wrap a small gift...simple but I love it, it's delicious!

christmas jar 1

I lined the jar with gold paper so that you can't see inside. Then I glued two circles (one of patterned paper and one of white cardstock) and a wood star on the cap.

christmas jar 3

To decorate the jar I wrapped a red ribbon and then I cut a small tag on which I applied a black rub on, two bells and two golden laurel branches. I used the Merry And Bright paper, I love chevron!!

The packaging is original but simple and fast, do you like it?

Yes, Christmas Is Coming!

Posted on Nov 6, 2015 12:51:24 PM

Hello everyone, Francesca here! Christmas is coming, slowly... and it's better to start preparing the first cards now! I made two sizes, a big and a small. I especially like the small cards, because they are adorable and perfect to add a few words to and complete a gift!

Christmas Cards- Francesca BianconHere's how I did it:
I cut the envelopes using many different collections (ColorWays, Lake Life, Delish).
If you use your imagination, even a non-Christmas collection could be perfect!
For the small cards, I simply used the fantastic Fox Puffy Stickers. I’m crazy for these! And finally, I sprinkled a few drops of black ink.
For the big cards, I used the Winter Wonderland 3D Stickers. They are beautiful, with many glitter details, and they're perfect to be used with foam tape.
On the vanilla papers, I also used embossing paste and a stencil with the words, and the result is too beautiful to touch!

Adventure

Posted on Oct 22, 2015 9:00:00 AM

Hello! Francesca here!

Today I want to show you my new layout! I used the papers from the new ColorWays Gatsby Collection and followed a sketch from PageMaps. This gold and yellow collection is great; it can be sophisticated and cheerful at the same time!

I like to reinterpret the sketch; I think it's an intriguing challenge, and so I used my beloved embossing paste and two stencils to create a background. Then I added some diecuts on the left side of the picture and a rub-on over the tab. It's simple, but it lets the colors speak for themselves; they really add a lot of fun!

Noir Wedding Album

Posted on Oct 7, 2015 10:04:51 AM

Hello everyone, Francesca here!

Today I want to share with you a special mini album for me... it contains pictures of my wedding (now 4 years ago). It reminds me of a very special day—unforgettable. I used the Noir ColorWays Collection and I turned all my pictures black and white. I wanted the result to be elegant, but I didn’t want to embellish too much, because the pictures must be the true stars!

The album is very easy to make. I used simple black cardstock as a base (15x15 cm), and I pasted the patterned papers on top.

I made a video tutorial; I hope that it is clear and understandable... but if you have questions or comments, write me!

Enjoy!

Theme Week: Scary Packaging!

Posted on Sep 22, 2015 11:51:47 AM

Hello, Francesca here! Although Halloween is typically an American holiday, we like it very much in Italy, too. It’s another way to celebrate a carnival out of season—more gothic and scary, but also with an exotic flavor. I made two examples of packaging, perfect for holding chocolates and candies. Are they scary enough?

Box: I built it using a Gift Box Punch Board with this great orange chevron paper. I added a black polka dot ribbon and decorated the top with a rosette and fantastic puffy stickers!

The bag: I made it using a Gift Bag Punch Board with a paper from the Colorways Noir Collection. I added puffy stickers, sequins, and some imagination!

Simple, isn’t it? With the help of these soft stickers, you can quickly make a lot of projects, and I love the feel of them—they are really fun!

Wedding Day Card

Posted on Sep 8, 2015 2:00:44 PM

Hello everyone, Francesca here! Happy September!

This is a month of beginnings: school, fitness, a new season... and new paper collections!

They are coming soon to the Paper House website, and they are super, especially the new Wedding Day collection. It's refined, elegant, and very romantic, and so I wanted to use it immediately for my neighbors' wedding! I also used it for gift packaging, and I am very satisfied with the final result. Wedding Day Card- Francesca Biancon

Directions for envelope:

1. First, I created a white envelope (tutorial here).

2. I glued on paper from the Wedding Day collection.

3. I added several pieces of paper and a small tag and overlapped them. Then, with the hot glue gun, I glued on some paper flowers, buttons, and elements from the Explore Puffy Stickers, and finally, the cork bird.

Directions for card:

1. I used simple white cardstock folded in half. I glued on paper and then applied a rub-on!

Directions for packaging:

1. I used a paper doily and a tag from a Wedding Day paper, and then I added a cork butterfly, glittery foam stars, and a large butterfly made of cardstock and vellum!

I like that there are two sizes of paper pads in this theme. The small one (6x6") is perfect for cards or tags, and the larger one (12x12") is great for layouts or packaging!
